Installing OxyProject Assistant Web on IIS7.0 Posted: 01 Feb 2008 09:56 PM |
For IIS 7.0, IIS Metabase and IIS6 configuration compatibility component should be installed.
To install IIS Metabase and IIS6 configuration compatibility go to Control Panel and select "Turn Windows features on or off" under "Programs and Features" section.
For more information go to OxyProject Assistant installation notes available at the followiing URL: http://www.techinceptions.com/FileResourceDownload.aspx?code=opaReleaseNotes

There are a few things that may cause this issue.
Here are a some of them that we would suggest to check first:
1. Make sure that IIS is installed on the machine (on XP Professional IIS is not installed by default)
2. If IIS is installed, make sure that the IIS service is started (open IIS Management Console and check the status)
3. Make sure that the logged account that runs the installer has enough rights to create a web app on IIS (you may try with an admin account).
To understand if the logged account that runs the installer has enough rights to create a web app on IIS you may for instance run IIS Management Console and try to manually create a dummy web application.
Please let us know how it goes. It would be useful if you may post the full error message that you receive so we may do more investigations on our side.
